Our take

Bitrix24 is the free CRM to try when you have more people than budget, since its free plan does not cap user count, though 5 GB of storage and a busy interface are the trade.

The free plan that stopped counting users

Bitrix24 answers a specific problem: you have a team to put on a CRM and no budget to pay per seat. Almost every other tool here charges per user or caps the free plan at two or three of them. Bitrix24's free plan does not cap user count at all, so a whole small company can work in it for nothing.

It is also more than a CRM. Bitrix24 bundles tasks and projects, team chat, calendars, a contact centre, and even a basic website builder into one workspace. That breadth is either the appeal or the problem, depending on whether you want an all-in-one hub or just a place to track deals.

Who actually benefits from Bitrix24's uncapped seats

  • Growing teams that need every seat on a CRM without a per-user bill
  • Businesses that want CRM, project management, and team chat in one free tool
  • Companies replacing several separate free tools with a single workspace

The free tier ignores headcount, the prices do not

As of July 2026, the free plan supports an unlimited number of users with basic CRM, tasks and projects, team chat, shared calendars, and a contact centre for basic calling. There is no time limit and no credit card.

The binding constraint is 5 GB of total storage, which sounds like a lot until you start attaching documents and recording calls. Beyond storage, the free plan holds back sales automation, multiple pipelines, telephony, and the app marketplace, so the deeper sales features are a paid upgrade.

The 5 GB wall, and two other limits worth knowing

The interface is busy. Fitting a CRM, a project tool, and a chat app into one product means a lot of navigation, and new users can feel lost before they find the CRM under everything else. If you want a focused deal tracker, this is more tool than you asked for.

The 5 GB storage cap is the real free-plan wall, and it arrives quietly. Once you hit it, you are choosing between clearing files and moving to a paid plan.

Paid pricing is per organisation with user caps, which is great value for a mid-sized team but means the jump from free to Basic is a $49 monthly commitment rather than a per-seat trickle. Work out which tier your headcount lands in before you plan around it.

When the seat count beats the polish

Bitrix24 is the clear pick when your constraint is people, not features, because nowhere else here lets an unlimited number of users onto a free CRM. Accept the 5 GB cap and the busy interface as the price of that, and treat the free plan as a real starting point. If you want something simpler and more focused, Zoho or HubSpot will feel calmer, and if you want to own the whole thing, the open source tools are the better fit.

Frequently asked questions about Bitrix24

Is Bitrix24 really free for unlimited users?

Yes. The free plan places no cap on the number of users, which is rare in this category (as of July 2026). It covers basic CRM, tasks and projects, team chat, and a contact centre. The main limit is 5 GB of storage, and the advanced sales automation sits on paid plans.

What is the catch with the free plan?

Storage. The free plan gives you 5 GB total, which fills faster than you would think once you attach files and record calls. Sales automation, multiple pipelines, telephony, and marketplace apps are also locked to paid plans, so the free tier is a capable starting point rather than a full sales engine.

How is Bitrix24 priced when you upgrade?

Per organisation with a user cap, not per seat, which is unusual. Basic is $49 a month for up to 5 users, Standard is $99 for up to 50, and Professional is $199 for up to 100, all billed annually (as of July 2026). That flat-rate model can work out cheaper than per-seat CRMs for a mid-sized team.
