A 2006 form builder under SurveyMonkey's roof
Wufoo is an online form builder owned by SurveyMonkey, used by millions to create forms, collect submissions, and accept payments via PayPal, Stripe, and Square. It includes 400+ templates, form rules, reporting, and a REST API.
Who Wufoo still makes sense for
- Small businesses and nonprofits collecting contact info and registrations
- Teams that need payment collection built into forms without custom development
- Users who want a free starting point before upgrading for higher volume
The real entry price is $16.25, not zero
Wufoo is freemium. The free plan includes 5 forms and 100 entries per month. Paid plans start at $16.25/mo billed annually (Starter) and scale entry limits, payments, and team seats.
Two newer builders, neither limited to 10 fields
Tally offers unlimited free forms and responses with a modern editor. Jotform provides 20,000+ templates, active development, and HIPAA-compliant plans for regulated data collection.
Pick Wufoo only if you are already inside it
Wufoo works. It has been collecting entries since 2006, the REST API is real, and payments through PayPal, Stripe, and Square still run without custom development. What it lacks is a reason to start today: 10 fields per form on the free plan is shorter than plenty of contact forms, the editor shows its age, and $16.25/mo billed annually is the real cost of using it properly. An existing account with working forms has little reason to move. Everyone else should read the free Wufoo alternatives first.
