Unlimited booking links, and a page that looks designed

Zcal is a hosted scheduling tool whose whole pitch is that the free plan is not artificially crippled. You get unlimited booking links, unlimited connected calendars, meeting polls, and video call integrations without paying anything (as of July 2026), which is more than Calendly's free tier by a wide margin.

The booking pages are the other reason people pick it. Zcal puts more care into how the page looks to the person booking, with cover images and a layout that reads as designed rather than functional. If your booking link is a customer's first impression of you, that matters.

Free forever, and the 3% that acts like a price

The free plan covers unlimited scheduling links, unlimited calendar connections, meeting polls, website embeds, and video conferencing integrations.

Two limits define it. Zcal branding stays on your booking page unless you upgrade. And if you collect payment for bookings, Zcal takes a 3% platform fee on top of what Stripe charges. That fee is the honest cost of the free tier for anyone selling sessions. At $500 a month in bookings it is $15, and it keeps climbing with your revenue while a Pro seat stays flat, so past a few hundred dollars a month the free plan is the more expensive option.

Single-user limits, and a plan list we could not confirm

Team features are not in the free plan at all. Round-robin, collective scheduling, and team pages sit on the paid Business plan, so Zcal is a single-player tool until you pay.

It is also cloud-only. There is no self-hosted option and no open source codebase, so data lives with the vendor and you accept whatever the pricing page says next year. Its integration catalogue is smaller than Cal.com's or Calendly's, which shows up if you need CRM sync rather than just a calendar and a video link.

Take it free, pay the day you start charging

Zcal is the best free option for someone who wants an attractive booking page and does not need a team. Take the free plan if your calls are free, and upgrade to Pro the moment you start charging, because the 3% fee grows with your bookings and will quietly outrun a flat subscription. If you need round-robin or want to self-host, look at Cal.com instead.
